Mac Tire – Farraige Reverbering

Have you ever wondered what sound the sea makes? What sound the sea makes inside itself, in its depths, in contact with the seabed, among the currents that cross it?
Have you ever wondered what sound the sea makes near man? The sea that man has imprisoned and used for his social and cultural development?
Farraige Reverbering is a performance based on the real-time interaction between man and nature, specifically between man and the natural element of water.
The performance was designed to be carried out in a place where the sea has been neglected and abandoned by man; hence the choice to use La Cala di Palermo or the Mondello pier as a performance location. (Alternatively, the performance can be held at the Sferracavallo slides, a place visible in the photos on the previous page.)
The performance aims to bring people closer to understanding the biological and pollution situation of the waters of the Cala or, in the case of the Mondello pier, the drastic change that the waters of that area undergo during the summer with the increase in tourism and bathing activity.
A further objective of the project is the diffusion of these themes not only from a visual point of view, but above all from a sound point of view; thus bringing users to a new vision, far from their habits.

𝗔𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝗲𝗼 (𝗙𝘂𝗼𝗿𝗶 𝗱𝗮 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗼𝘀), from the album of the same name, is an immersive concert that tells the story of a journey of healing and rebirth. 𝗠𝗮𝗰 𝗧𝗶𝗿𝗲 combines video projections with natural sounds, processed guitars and synths, generating a cryptic and metamorphic environment.

Mac Tire / Gloria Agnello – Memory in Motion

In September 2022, together with Gloria Agnello, he participated in the artistic residency Botteghe Digitali / Digital Manufacturing for which the two performers will create and stage Memory in Motion.
Memory in motion is a multidisciplinary performance in which two bodies in motion generate and manipulate sound and digital projections. For the artistic residency, the performance was created inside an abandoned shop in the city of Gorizia, using the two large windows as a performance space.
The performance was also staged in October at the Buonuomore hall of the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory in Florence on the occasion of his master’s thesis.
