Disturbo di continuità represents a source of emotional randomness, rather than a narrative; a personal research on change, acceptance and the importance of making mistakes. The sound design created by Mac Tire emphasizes emotions and sensations, creating a communication between the viewer and the images.

Laura Waltz – A_live
His sound research with water and his work on the album Dothuarthacht na taoide (The unpredictability of the tide) has been used as the sound design for “A_live” an artistic/technical movement research made by the pluridisciplinary performer Laura Waltz in the frame of her Fellowship in the Academy for Theater and Digitality. The aim of this exploration is to take core principals of puppetry animation (analogue), translate them on the moving/dancing human body, using motion capture techniques to explore how we can through this movement method increase the experience of 3D avatars aliveness, making them more organic. The creative response of this research became a video installation on 3 canvases. This non-linear environment is accompanied by a sound setting made using underwater recorded sea sounds that are manipulated electronically, creating an atmospheric soundscape magnifying the organicness of the movements. The emphasis of this visual experience is the quality and precision of the movements, impulses and breath interpreted by three different avatars, each one with its own texture and characteristics.

Mac Tire – In Mezz’Ora
In February 2024 he presented at NOZ, at the Cantieri culturali alla Zisa, the short film “In Mezz’ora” directed by Claudio Lo Palco and produced by WIDE. For this project he took care of the soundtrack, sound design and audio post production.

Mac Tire – Quadri in ascolto
In August 2023 he realized the immersive soundscape for Quadri in ascolto, working with Centro ricerche culturali. The work was exposed in Platischis and in San Pietro al Natisone. The work was realized to be heard using headphones.

Cristina Borinschi / Mac Tire – Armonia delle Sfere
In December 2022 he realized the immersive soundscape for Armonia delle Sfere, an artistic exhibition by Cristina Borinschi. The art work was exposed at La Siringe, in Palermo.

Mac Tire – L’Alluvione della povera gente
In November 2022 he realized a live soundscape at theater of the Industri in Grosseto for the event L’alluvione della povera. During this event the documentary “Grosseto 4 Novembre”, of Gianni Bernardini, was projected during his live performance. The images of the documentary were digitalized and restored by Mediateca Digitale della Maremma.

Mac Tire – LO STRAPPO
In November 2021 he created the soundscape for the photography installation “Lo Strappo” realized by Erika Rubino in collaboration with Aps Echoes. The installation was displayed at Villa Bandini’s library and at Teatro dell’Affratellamento in Florence, at Sala S.E.T. Politeama in Poggibonsi, and at Radicondoli.

Reverberating Wor/l/ds – Ricordati la strada di casa
In September 2021 he curated with Reverberating Wor/l/ds the soundscape for Mara Giammattei’s photography exhibition “Ricordati la strada di casa” at Arezzo Crowd Festival.
